Hello! And welcome to the unique world of algae!

As you may have noticed, Hello Kitty got here before you.

But have you ever seen Hello Kitty like this?
The Hello Kitties here have transformed into 32 different shapes, each inspired by the many diverse characteristics of algae.

Algae mostly live in water and play a crucial role in the cycle by producing oxygen through photosynthesis.
The term algae covers a wide range of lifeforms—from large species of seaweed like kombu and wakame to tiny algae that can only be seen through a microscope.
In fact, scientists estimate that over 300,000 species of algae exist in nature today.

Now, take a look at the wall to your right.
Can you spot Botryococcus—the algae growing in the tank you saw earlier?
You’ll find it in the second column from the right, at the very bottom.
If any of these algae catch your interest, check the information panels nearby.
Try learning about their unique traits and behaviours, and who knows?
You might just find them surprisingly adorable!

Have you found your favourite?
