Beyond the passageway unfolds a vast and breathtaking world.
What does it look like to you?
A shimmering ocean? A sky full of stars? Perhaps a windswept highland.
This spectacular scene is created by approximately 700 glowing panels.
The lights move with a life of their own, pulsing and shifting.
Standing in the depths of this sea of light are 37 massive tanks.
This installation is inspired by fermentation tanks—where countless microorganisms, each with its own role, are at work.
Through their activity, food waste can take on a new form, transforming into something entirely different.
Some microorganisms break down proteins and carbohydrates into amino acids and sugars.
Others further decompose them into acetic acid and short-chain fatty acids.
With each step, the molecules become smaller.
Methane-producing bacteria complete the process, creating biogas that can be used for power generation.
By converting food waste into energy, we reduce the amount of waste that needs to be burned, helping to lower CO₂ emissions.
Food waste doesn’t just generate power—it can also fuel ideas for a better future.
